Anyone recognize this "diamond"? It occurs naturally in only one place on the globe. It's a Herkimer Diamond, though not a diamond at all, is a quartz that I mined by hand out of solid rock, and it was so beautiful I did not have the heart to remove it from its' bed, so I took the whole rock home with me! Herkimer, NY is the only place to mine these naturally faceted "diamonds", and it is said that if you place one under your pillow while you sleep, you will have vivid dreams! I don't, however, recommend you put the entire rock under your pillow!
